Overview
Good Lucky crafts contemporary jewelry designs inspired by the rich tapestry of Chinese heritage and folklore, blended with modern and vintage Western aesthetics. It aims to create precious emblems of heritage that serve as vessels of expression, honoring the enduring love and traditions passed down through generations, for everyday wear.
Challenge
Chinese good luck knots are traditionally used as decorations and meaningful gifts symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. Each knot features symmetrical cord work representing balance. Our attempts to modernize the design, however, stripped away its authentic cultural essence. We looked at it with a timeless cinematic lens.
Results
Working with the client, we paired the knot graphic with a more timeless, clean wordmark for contrast. The result is a logo lockup balancing cinematic elegance with a bespoke emblem of heritage.
